Our Little Aurora is potty trained, YAY! It only took her 2 days to stop having accidents, and now she is officially a "Big Girl". She still has to wear a pull-up to bed but I think that is pretty typical. To train her I just let her wear panties all day and took her to sit on the toilet every thirty minutes by that third day she would tell me when she had to go and no longer had any accidents. She got treats for going and we just made a really big deal about it when she went. She now has been potty trained for 3 weeks and it is so nice to only have one little bum to change.
Our little Harper is crawling all over the place, standing up to everything and saying "mama, dadda, babba( for bottle), and baby (when she is really upset, I think she is referring to herself)". She loves plugs and unplugging things so I really have to keep an eye on her and I have a suspicion that she may try to stick things in the plugs when she gets a little older because she is sooo obsessed with them. We have a little trouble maker on our hands.
Lately Aurora has been loving to throw things at the baby, kick her, hit her, and tries to jump on her from the ladder of her bunk-bed as well. I think in her mind she is thinking "Hmmmmm, what will happen if I do this to the baby, will she cry?" I guess she is learning cause and effect but it is still hard to see her be so mean to someone she loves soooo much. It is so cute when the girls wake up in the morning they get soooo excited to see each other and give each other hugs and kisses, that fades pretty quick though but returns again when they wake up from their naps. I know they couldn't live without each other and they will be best friends one day!
The next time you hear from me Harper will probably be walking, until then! Hehehehehe

Crawling
Tyson's birthday was last week on February 22nd and he is now the big 27. We were able to just spend the evening together and have a nice cheesy chicken soup in bread bowls for dinner, followed by my made-up version of home-made oreo cookie cake with ice-cream.
Our dear little girls are getting so big, Harper started crawling last week on Tyson's birthday and has been getting faster ever since. I forgot how many things new "crawlers" get into and how not "crawler" proof our house is. Aurora has been walking for almost a year and a half so it has been a while since we have had someone on that level. Also Aurora has been out of the "stick everything in my mouth" stage for a while too so we are having to be aware of that since I have found her with things such as Aurora's potty seat in her mouth."Ugh" It's a wonder anyone makes it to adulthood.
Aurora has been wanting to get herself dressed like a million times a day and she prefers what she calls her "princess" getup. This weirdly includes: her swimming suit, ballet leotard and her ballet slippers. She has tried putting her pants on like a shirt and shirt on like pants which usually puts her into a tissy-fit because it will never work right for her (of course). There has been once so far that she got all dressed by herself and it was quite an accomplishment. She is also starting to put sentences together and is becoming more understandable.
We are so proud of our beautiful little girls!
