Going "home"
We had the opportunity to go to Preston again recently for 8 days. We had a really enjoyable time and didn't want to leave. The day we got there we left the kids with Tyson's mom and went out to dinner with some of my siblings and my parents for my dads birthday. Then we ended up at our favorite ice cream place called Casper's. The next day everyone in my family (except Erin's family) got together to celebrate birthdays! While we were there we were also able to go out to eat with two of Ty's three brothers, we went to the temple with my brother and his wife and Ty's parents and I got to spend the day with my mom shopping and running errands in Logan. The day before we had to leave we had a really fun Easter egg and scavenger hunt for Aurora, Tristan, Dillon and Seneca at a big park. Aurora was so funny with her Easter eggs, she would open them as soon as she got them and dump the candy in her basket, then she would throw the egg on the ground. Another awesome thing that happened while we were there was that we got to spend several hours visiting with my brother-in-law who came down from Virginia (thanks Ryan for making the trip). We got to relax and spend time together as a family.......that's the life!
An update on the girls:
Aurora is definitely going through the terrible two's telling mommy and daddy "no" and that we need a "spanking" or "hot sauce" when we tell her things she doesn't want to hear. She is also biting her little sister and other kids so she has been spending a lot of time in time-out. But she is still a cute little stinker and is really starting to grow up.
Harper is getting very close to standing without holding onto things and will probably be walking before we know it. She is also starting to say more words like "Rora" when she sees her sister. She has this weird fetish with biting the carpet too and has been known to throw fits when she doesn't get what she wants. They sure keep their mommy busy!
